Quantifying life on surfaces

What is MorphoGraphX?

MorphoGraphX is an open source application for the visualization and analysis of 4D biological datasets. Developed by researchers for researchers, it is primarily used for the analysis and quantification of 4D live-imaged confocal data. The software is under continuous development by the Richard Smith lab at the JIC in Norwich.

The main research interests addressed by MorphoGraphX are:

  • Organ and cell shape extraction
  • Growth analysis
  • Fluorescence signal quantification
  • Protein localization
  • Extracting simplified cell geometry for modeling
